FREE sample pack with every filtered cigar order. We pick a brand that matches your style (light, full flavor or menthol).
Richwood filtered cigars have not been made since April 2026, and Stampede (made by the same company) is discontinued too. Our pick to replace them is Smokin Joes: the same 10-pack carton for $16.99, made on the Tuscarora Reservation in New York. Cheyenne is a great second choice.

Richwood replacement: what to buy instead
Richwood filtered cigars have not been produced since April 2026, and the same company's Stampede line has been discontinued as well. Any Richwood you still find online is leftover stock, and it will not be restocked. Here is what Richwood smokers are switching to, pack for pack:
- Richwood Full Flavor (red): Smokin Joes Full Flavor, our best seller. Also try Cheyenne Full Flavor.
- Richwood Gold (mild): Smokin Joes Smooth. Also try Wrangler Light or GTO Gold.
- Richwood Menthol (green): Smokin Joes Menthol. Also try Cheyenne Menthol.
Why Smokin Joes?
Smokin Joes was started in 1985 by Joe Anderson, a member of the Tuscarora Nation, and has made its tobacco on the Tuscarora Reservation in Niagara County, New York, since the 1990s. It is a long-running Native American maker, not a brand that is winding down, so you will not have to go through this search again. Every Smokin Joes carton is 10 packs of 20 filtered cigars for $16.99, one of the lowest prices on our site, and it comes in Full Flavor, Smooth, Menthol, Cherry and Vanilla.
Not sure yet? For a limited time we put a free pack in every order, so you can try another brand alongside your new usual. See every option side by side in our filtered cigar buying guide.
Richwood filtered cigars FAQ
Are Richwood filtered cigars discontinued?
Yes. Richwood has not been produced since April 2026, and it is no longer being restocked.
Why can't I find Richwood filtered cigars anywhere?
Because production stopped, stores are selling through their last cartons. Once those are gone, they are gone for good.
Is Stampede the same as Richwood?
Stampede was made by the same company as Richwood, and it has been discontinued too, so it is not a long-term replacement.
What is the closest thing to Richwood filtered cigars?
Our recommendation is Smokin Joes: Full Flavor for Richwood Full Flavor, Smooth for Richwood Gold, and Menthol for Richwood Menthol. Cheyenne is the next most popular choice.
How many filtered cigars are in a carton?
Every carton is 10 packs of 20, or 200 filtered cigars.
